Tracery in the Churchyard
Tracery in the Churchyard
The only memorial to the air raid in Reading in 10/02/1943 when 41 people were killed. A plaque at the base reads thus: "This tracery formed part of what was the West Window of St Laurence's Church. It was dislodged during an enemy action on February 10th 1943." No mention of the 41 poor souls killed in the action. SU7173 : Plaque at the base
