SU8293 : A gate for going round

taken 7 years ago, near to West Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, Great Britain

A gate for going round
A gate for going round
Unfortunately, because of the boulders, the long grass and a padlock, it was impossible to open the gate and go through it. Fortunately it lies on its own in the field with no fence, or evidence of a fence, either side. The footpath is further to the left anyway. This is probably a relic of the boundary of West Wycombe estate, but why it remains in the middle of a field is any-one's guess.
