Porridge Stoop - SE face
Porridge Stoop - SE face
This listed structure is dated 1730. The south east face indicates 3 miles to Skipton. At one time this hilltop crossroads must have been of some importance. The old Skipton to Colne high road crosses what must have been another important route from Keighley towards Settle, long before the Aire Valley trunk road and Skipton by pass were thought of.
