Ludham Bridge mill - WWII strongpoint beside the River Ant
The tower of this small disused windpump beside the River Ant was converted into a strongpoint during WWII. It has two rings of loopholes in its brick wall, one at ground level and one around what would have been the upper storey. The floor has since rotted away > Link
. Beside the entrance, which is protected by a blast wall, a spigot mortar emplacement is still in situ > Link
