The rear of the building showing the extent of dereliction. The main floor window transoms and mullions are made from terracotta to match the front of the building.

Built in 1896 for the promotion of Science and Art, as shown on the main facade. Now in a sad state of dereliction. A magnificent example of decorative terracotta work. Locally listed but clearly of very uncertain future.
