Pwll Deri and memorial to Dewi Emrys
Dewi Emrys (David Emrys James, 1881-1952) was a poet, working in the local North Pembrokeshire dialect of Welsh. His poem "Pwll Deri" celebrates this precise landscape; his memorial here carries the couplet "A THINA'R MEDDILIE SY'N DWAD ICHI / PAN FOCH CHI'N ISHTE UWCHBEN PWLLDERI" ("And these are the thoughts that come to you / When you sit above Pwllderi").
