Bridge over an old waggonway
The Blyth and Tyne Avenue Branch Line was one of many LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) linking former coalmines in North Tyneside with the coal staithes on the Tyne. Along with many other lengths of waggonway, this section has been converted into a cycle path in recent years. Looking south to the bridge on the "Beehive" road, B1325.
