Villas such as Sunnycroft were situated in extensive gardens such as this. The rather nice veranda is redolent of the period.

Sunnycroft

Sunnycroft was originally built in 1880 but was enlarged in 1899. The same family lived in it from this date until it was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1997. Many of the original fixtures and fittings remain from the Edwardian period and so it is often described as a "time capsule".
