Pollarding at Frilford
Pollarding at Frilford
This smoke plume was visible from some miles away. It transpired it was burning of unwanted timber from the pollarding of these field boundary trees. Usable wood had been stacked further to the right. The regularity of the trees indicates that this is a regular activity, possibly used for stakes at the nearby vineyard.
