Fountains Abbey
The ruins of Fountains Abbey, dating mainly from the 12th/13th and 15th/16th centuries, seen here on a spring morning with snowdrops in the foreground. The near wall is part of the Lay Brothers' Infirmary, with the wall of the Nave beyond, backed by the Tower. The ruins are grade I listed - for listing particulars see LinkExternal link.
