Dovecote outside Halifax Bus Station
Dovecote outside Halifax Bus Station
In 2004 this dovecote was installed near the entrance to Halifax Bus Station as part of a pigeon management strategy in the town centre, paid for by Oakapple Holmes who converted the nearby Crossley House council offices into apartments. The pigeon eggs were removed every fortnight in an attempt to keep numbers down. Feeding of the birds was also tolerated.

The dovecote was subsequently removed in September 2011 due to complaints about the amount of food being left by bird-fanciers.
