North shore of Loch Earn looking towards St Fillans

On this day we'd left Edinburgh in light drizzle, met a heavy shower north of Stirling and finally got about 15 minutes of sunshine here!

50 years ago we'd both spent many holidays in the Highlands and in particular around Loch Earn. In those days it was busy. Not so in August 2011. No water skiing to be seen on this day.

Maybe the weather has played a part in the change.
