NZ1874 : Sentry Box

taken 12 years ago, near to Berwick Hill, Northumberland, England

Sentry Box
Sentry Box
A soldier stands 'on guard' in this box while the army uses the Carr for firing practice. Although a red flag was flying, no one was there to prevent walkers from going too near to the firing range. A passing soldier told me that the sentry forgot to remove the flag!
