Albany Building, Old Hall Street, Liverpool
A particularly handsome effort, red brick, sandstone and granite, with lovely carved detail notably around the first-floor windows (SJ3490 : Detail of Albany Building, Old Hall Street, Liverpool). Built for a banker, R.C. Naylor, as speculative offices, 1856-58, to the designs of J.K. Colling, it was converted to flats in 2004-05. Grade II* listed.
