Old rail track exposed - Bowland [1]
Old rail track exposed - Bowland [1]
This man made drainage cutting runs beside the western edge of a shooters/water board track on the lower slope of Bloe Greet Breast. At this section of the ditch it has exposed part of the old rail track used in the early 20th century. This railway track lead to a nearby long disused quarry and was involved in the construction of the Stocks Reservoir a few miles away. Can you spot the phantom water owl next to the old wooden railway sleeper ?!
