TQ6075 : The path to Swanscombe Marshes
taken 10 years ago, near to Swanscombe, Kent, Great Britain

The path to Swanscombe Marshes
This path leads from the crossroads north of Swanscombe High Street down onto Swanscombe Marshes. Much of the land on either side is closed off but the path heads unerringly towards Swancombe Pylon, seen here on the right. Swanscombe Pylon at 623 feet is, along with its twin across the Thames at West Thurrock, the highest in the UK and the second highest in Europe. See Link for the view from beneath. The line of the Thames can be seen just beyond it.
