TQ6075 : Dyke on Swanscombe Marshes

taken 12 years ago, near to Swanscombe, Kent, England

Dyke on Swanscombe Marshes
Dyke on Swanscombe Marshes
The path on the right descends from Swanscombe onto Swanscombe Marshes. The Channel Tunnel Rail Link, on its way beneath the Thames, passes underneath the building on the right, and then under the path and the dyke roughly where the second telegraph pole is. Behind is Swanscombe Pylon, which at 623 feet is, along with its twin across the Thames at West Thurrock, the highest in the UK and the second highest in Europe. See Link for the view from beneath.
