TG3518 : Derelict cottage by Browns Hill

taken 12 years ago, near to How Hill, Norfolk, England

Derelict cottage by Browns Hill
Derelict cottage by Browns Hill
One of two tiny cottages beside the access road to Browns Hill, obviously abandoned a long time ago as the ivy clambering up the walls is well established. Entrance is blocked but a glimpse through the small glassless window reveals that all furniture has long since been removed. Years of dampness and rain water have exposed various layers of wall paint whereas the paint applied to window frames and doors is peeling profusely. If stones could talk the weathered bricks might well have interesting stories to tell about the families who once occupied these walls.
