Corstorphine Road
Edinburgh is currently, without doubt, the roadworks capital of the world. There seems to be barely a street which is not being dug up, or has recently been dug up, or is about to be dug up, or is in need of being either dug up or filled in or both. Getting into the city by car is even more of a nightmare than usual and by bus it is a journey of discovery, as the bus goes a different way almost every time you use it. This particular excavation is to do with gas supplies, or so it says, but I reckon it's really only there to foil the efforts of the tourist board.
