J3574 : Telephone boxes, Ballymacarrett, Belfast
taken 14 years ago, near to Belfast, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland

Telephone boxes, Ballymacarrett, Belfast
Three telephone boxes, all with telephones, at the Newtownards Road end of Templemore Avenue. “Samson” and “Goliath” Link can be seen in the background.
Telephone boxes, Northern Ireland
A series of photographs showing some of the public telephone boxes in Northern Ireland. With the widespread ownership of mobiles the use of the public phone had declined. I have a notion that they will become like railways – still some left but most closed.
Note added 16 February 2019 - some BT boxes will be replaced by InLink kiosks.
Templemore Avenue, Belfast
A long street running from the Castlereagh Road/Beersbridge Road, across the Albertbridge Road to the Newtownards Road It developed over a number of years from the late 19th century. In 1880 it had only three houses.
