Monument at Devil's Beef Tub
Monument at Devil's Beef Tub
The huge natural depression The Devil's Beef Tub is so called because Border Thieves (Reivers) used to hide their stolen cattle there and is a fine site when driving north from Moffat. The monument is in memory of a Covenanter and stands on the edge of the Tub.
