DLR at Limehouse Basin
DLR at Limehouse Basin
The first sections of Docklands Light Railway (DLR) opened in 1987, providing new transport links to parts of London's former Docklands. Here at Limehouse Basin, the DLR has taken the route of a former railway which had closed many years previously, bringing the old viaducts back into use. The railway has expanded considerably since 1987, with new sections of line being added. The trains have become longer too, with many now being operated with three units coupled together.
