There were a dozen or so Greylags grazing here and there beside the loch. Most Greylags migrate north to breed, but a small number have become resident all year round. This one was very curious and rather bold, and actually came to within a few feet of me while I stood still to see just how close it would come. As you can see, it posed obligingly for its portrait.
