Trees on the heath near Deerleap car park, New Forest
A well used track leads southeast from Deerleap car park, along an area of heath between Deerleap and Longdown Inclosures. It looks like this part of it was once ploughed - perhaps as part of the 'special measures' during the Second World War. There are now scattered Scots pine growing, self-sown from the nearby softwood plantations.
