Former Conservative Club, Dale Street, Liverpool
Former Conservative Club, Dale Street, Liverpool
"Lavish French Renaissance", by F. & G. Holme, 1880, with plenty of carved detail concentrated in the first floor (SJ3490 : Detail of former Conservative Club, Dale Street, Liverpool). Grade II listed.
Conservatives nowadays being somewhat of an endangered species on Merseyside, this building was later used as an annex to the adjacent Municipal Buildings (SJ3490 : Municipal Buildings, Dale Street, Liverpool). Pevsner reported that in 2005 it was being converted to a hotel, but it looked empty at the time of the photo.
