Cambridge: All Saints - Great War Memorial
Now in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust, All Saints was designed by G F Bodley and built between 1863 and 1871. Much of the decoration, including the stencilling shown here, is by William Morris ("in various sombre colours" according to Nikolaus Pevsner). The names of the dead are on the insides of doors which are normally kept closed.
