The plaque is alongside a signpost Link on the northern side of East Dock. The seaplane in which Amelia Earhart was the passenger landed nearby on June 18th 1928 after a 20 hour 40 minute flight from Trepassey, Newfoundland, a distance of 2,200 miles.
