Grasmere Lane - looking southwards
Grasmere Lane - looking southwards
A view down the straight, walled track that is the northern section of Grasmere Lane. The regular stones, are I think, all that remains of a dismantled railway. Each block (granite I think) has two small holes which I believe to be evidence of where sleepers lay crossways between adjacent stones. As can be seen, some of the stones are missing, but in other places regular pairs remain. See SX2670 : Grasmere Lane - looking northwards
