Peanmeanach bothy during renovation 1975
Peanmeanach bothy was first renovated by the Mountain Bothies Association in the summer of 1975. This required removing the old roof, which was very leaky, and windows. The new roof was made of Onduline, a corrugated bitumen material. This has since been replaced. The metal frame windows that were originally dormers on the roof were placed in the stonework on the ground floor.
