The view is of the Union Canal as one approaches Viewforth on the journey from Falkirk to Edinburgh (thirty one and a half miles). The canal follows a contour line (with the help of a few viaducts) and does not have any locks.
The tenement buildings are on Viewforth St Peter's Place.
Don't the buildings in Bruntsfield NT2472 : Bruntsfield often fall over? Or is there a Pisa-type leaning city preservation society that keeps shoring it up?
