Railway Station, Thorpe Culvert
The railway scene here has much changed since steam days. For a start the locomotive would have been British built, not Canadian. There was probably a more substantial brick-built building on this platform. There would have been crossing gates operated from a traditional lever-framed signalbox. The lamps may have been lit by gas, as they were at several stations around the country and there were a lot less cars and a lot more passengers.
