The Larpool Viaduct
The Larpool Viaduct
This magnificent viaduct crosses the River Esk to the south of Whitby. 120 feet high, it carried the Scarborough-Whitby railway line until its closure in 1965. It's now used as a footpath and cycle track. Viewed from the Whitby-Grosmont line on a lovely mid-April afternoon.
