Rock Formation
Rock Formation
Our attention had been directed to this feature, which contains peridotite (the orangey-brown rock) and troctolite (the pale rock), both of which were formed by layers of crystals settling to the bottom of a magma chamber deep in the crust of the Earth. I am still, however, having some difficulty envisaging exactly how it was formed.
