Ex-GWR 'Dukedog' in Store at Moat Lane Junction

View north, from a Mid-Wales (ex-Cambrian) line train arriving from Brecon via Rhayader, with the ex-Cambrian main line from Whitchurch, Welshpool and Newtown to Machynlleth etc. going right-to-left behind the engine, which is by the small Engine Shed. No. 9021 is a Collett 'Earl' or 'Dukedog' 4-4-0, rebuilt 11/38 as No. 3221 from the frames of 'Bulldog' No. 3411, renumbered 9/46 and withdrawn 12/58. (It was no doubt put to work in the summers of 1957 and 1958).
