The Bairns, Leadgate
Formerly the Hadrian, and later the Four Seasons restaurant, the bar and restaurant was known locally as 'The Bairns' – a name it got in the 19th century when the pub there was run by a woman, helped by her two daughters, whom she called 'the bairns'.
