NS3481 : Dry-stone wall
taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Colgrain, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Dry-stone wall
As shown in NS3481 : The Three Lochs Way, the Way heads west, following a fence (and the remains of a on dry-stone wall) at the edge of the woods. In the present photograph, that area of woodland is on the left, and the Three Lochs Way comes in from the left, from behind those trees. It crosses a burn (the burn's course is along the marshy area that starts at the lower-left corner of the photo, and which recedes into the distance).
It then makes a brief detour to the north, following the section of wall that is shown leading towards the photographer's position. At the nearest fence post, the wall and fence resume their westerly course, and the Three Lochs Way follows them uphill on the wooded slopes.
A Three Lochs Way marker can just about be made out on the nearest fence post; another one nearby is shown in NS3481 : Three Lochs Way marker post.
