'Pint', in the common name 'Cuckoo Pint', rhymes with 'mint'. It is derived from the old English word 'pintle' and means 'Cuckoo's Penis', which it is thought to resemble. In a similar vein, it has also been called 'Willy Lily' although it does not belong to the Lily Family.
