SO9825 : Cleeve Cloud, Cleeve Hill

taken 12 years ago, near to Cleeve Hill, Gloucestershire, Great Britain

Cleeve Cloud, Cleeve Hill
Cleeve Cloud, Cleeve Hill
The shape of this lonely stunted beech tree suggests it might be on the coast, in fact it's on top of Cleeve Hill, at more than 1,000ft above sea level, Gloucestershire's highest point. On the horizon to the left is the Worcestershire Beacon and the North Hill of the Malvern Hills. For a similar view in the spring see SO9825 : Tree on Cleeve Cloud, Cleeve Hill
