John Manners was to become the eighth Earl of Rutland and he is buried in Bottesford church. SK8039 : Memorial to 8th Earl of Rutland, St Mary's Bottesford
Sir George "King of the peak" Vernon was born about 1503 and died August 1565. He married Margaret Talboys, then secondly Matilda Longford . He died without male heirs, so the estates were divided between his two daughters.
