Cardiff: the Norwegian church
Cardiff: the Norwegian church
In current use as an arts centre, this church was built in 1868 for the sailors of the Norwegian fleet in Cardiff. With the decline of the mining industry in south Wales in the 1960s, the fleet left Cardiff and the church mission withdrew before the church was deconsecrated in 1974.

Having fallen into considerable disrepair, it was dismantled and rebuilt on its present site as part of the modernisation of the Cardiff Bay area, being officially reopened in 1992.

More on the story of the church will be found on its website here: LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )
