This late May 2012 view shows the pub name sign Link still in place, but the lower three-quarters of all the ground floor windows are boarded up. A local newspaper reported in June 2007 that
"controversial plans to demolish The Rogiet Hotel, on Station Road, and construct a three-storey block of flats were refused by council planners."
