Turnstile on path into the East Arboretum, Howick Hall Gardens
Turnstile on path into the East Arboretum, Howick Hall Gardens
A public road passes through the private estate surrounding Howick Hall, with a substantial bridge crossing the Howick Burn. A path leads beneath the road through this tunnel, connecting the gardens to the east of the road with the arboretum located to the east. Fencing and a large turnstile help prevent animals such as deer getting into the gardens.
