This attractive and well-situated obelisk commemorates James Black (a joiner and builder who died in 1907), his wife Elizabeth Weir Anderson, and their children. It is site № 15 on the Red Walk in the "Greenock Cemetery Walks" booklet (see the end-note).
Greenock Cemetery
The cemetery, which is laid out on Bow Hill, opened in 1846.
