The back of the statue of Archimedes on the UMIST campus SJ8497 : UMIST Campus under an arch of the railway from Piccadilly to Oxford Road. The stone statue SJ8497 : Archimedes' Eureka Moment shows a life sized Archimedes leaping naked from his bath whilst experiencing his "eureka moment". It was created by the artist Thompson Dagnall and unveiled in September 1990.
