Behind Cooke's roundabout (built by Halsteads of Sowerby Bridge in 1897) work continues on the renovation of Hyde Market.
Cooke's Children's Carousel

The roundabout on Hyde Market was manufactured by Halsteads of Sowerby Bridge in 1897. It was established on Hyde Market in 1919 by John William (Jack) Greaves. In the 1920s he passed it to his daughter Lily and her husband Bill Cooke. It has now been in the Cooke family for three generations.
