taken 18 years ago, 3 km from Cartington, Northumberland, England

View from Swallow Side
View from Swallow Side
A view across the southern edge of the square and the Debdon Burn valley. In the foreground are the lines of stones shown in NU0605 : Boundary lines on Swallow Side, seen higher up the hillside. The patch of woodland right of centre is on Forster's Shaw Sike, which continues behind it towards Cartington Hill. To the left, in NU0604, is the farm of Debdon, surrounded by fields and woodland.
