On the Bere Alston-Gunnislake branch. The line opened in 1908 with the completion of the Calstock Viaduct. It originally ran on to Callington, using the formation of the earlier East Cornwall Mineral Railway. The sharp curve here was on the new formation and is just to the north of the viaduct
