Plaque for Dan the Bulldog statue
Dan was the inspiration for eleventh variation by Edward Elgar. He belonged to the organist at Hereford Cathedral. The plaque is just in front of the wooden statue on the banks of the River Wye on the King George Playing Fields.
SO5039 : Hereford Cathedral Sadly however the many reincarnations of this west front over the years has left us now with this incongruous neo-Gothic facade dating from 1902-08AD.
