Whether (Wether on the largest scale maps) Fold is actually a washfold. Sheep would be penned in the larger compartment then individually pushed into the smaller portion beside the river where they would be washed. Nowadays this is all done chemically. Across the valley, cloud is clearing off Rainsborrow Crag, a buttress of Yoke.
