They're pinching our water!
The Covenham-Boston water pipeline was started in March 2012. The aim is to pipe water from Covenham reservoir to Miningsby reservoir, and from there to Boston, where it is needed for a rapidly growing population boosted by the many EU nationals who have come in search of work in the vegetable fields.
Running across the bottom is Newbridge Lane, aka Coldharbour Lane. The remains of Coldharbour Farm are in the bottom right corner. To the left the lane goes to Covenham. A farm track leads upwards off it to The Grange, on the corner of the reservoir. At the far corner of the reservoir is the water treatment works and control centre, where the pipeline starts. Above that is Tetney Tank Farm. At the top is the Humber with Grimsby Dock Tower and the industrial landscape of the South Bank.
